Rate: 5/5 | goodreads

The only true con of books this long is that it gets very hard to review them. Read the whole thousand pages of "The Way of Kings" by Brandon Sanderson, first book in the Stormlight Archive series.

About the Book: In kingdoms wretched by war against strange creatures, the most coveted treasure is a weapon that can give you advantage against those beings - shardblades. And yet, the knights bearing these swords are worth a small army themselves, so a mortal foe to meet on the battlefield. Yet the only way to survive and rank higher than a lowly dark-eyed recruit.

Others approach said war differently. They seek knowledge of the enemy, answers in the mysterious past that keeps, seemingly, repeating itself, and the origin of this war, anything, truly, that could help end it, and prevent the dreaded Desolation that it'll cause...

My Opinion: It's beyond epic. It's colossal, legendary, incredible. Interesting from start to end, every page captivating. The book is told from perspectives of several characters, each trying to find a way out of their own immediate misery. And each finding that the journey they took, their morals, their hearts, have lead them to something greater, questions bigger, answers unimaginable, things ominous...

A fantastically written book I can't recommend enough. 5 out of 5 and more.
