I'm sure I've read "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll when I was a child, but my memory was too skewed by all the retellings. This was a welcome refresher.

About the Book: Alice thought little of it when she spotted a white rabbit in a great hurry somewhere. He wore a vest, was muttering to himself, and kept checking the pocket watch. Then disappeared away into a hole. Curious, girl followed the rabbit. Just to end up in a very strangest of all places...

My Opinion: It's more interesting than I thought a children's book, and a classic to that, would be. Glad I've picked it up. Reading it you can truly feel where all the awful dark retellings came to be from. And yet, it's a positive and mostly bright little tale. Mostly.

Lovely read. A 5 out of 5.
