The disciples did not understand what Jesus was saying and began to bicker amongst themselves about which of them would be the most important. Jesus took a small child and asked him to stand beside Him. Then He said to the disciples:

Whoever welcomes this little child in My name welcomes Me; and whoever welcomes Me welcomes the One who sent Me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest. Luke 9:48

Today you are invited to consider the children in your life. Are they your own, grandchildren, the children of friends, children you teach? How do you relate to them? What do you teach them about Jesus on a day to day basis? Even if you are not permitted to teach them, how does your life reflect Jesus to them? What one thing can you do today to love them as if they were Jesus to you? How do you feel at the end of the day about these children? Make a note of how you feel so you can refer back to it when relationships become challenging.
